Cedar Rapids Gazette, Wednesday, August 8, 1984, page 12A SOLON Wesley Benyshek, 78, of 508 Kingston Ave. died Tuesday at the Solon Care Center after a long illness. He was born Aug. 5, 1906, Cuba, Kan., and attended rural schools. He married M.J. Kasha on May 23, 1928, in Concordia, Kan. She died April 19, 1984. They had owned and operated a farm in rural Solon since 1948. He retired in 1975 and moved into town. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids. Surviving are two daughters, Marcella Klein of Oxford and JoAnn Brown of Brownsville, Texas; two sons, Douglas of Tempe, Ariz., and Victor of Allerton, Ill., 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Beckman-Callahan's in Iowa City, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Thursday. Burial: Memorial Gardens, Iowa City. A memorial has been established.
