Bio

Victor E. Benyshek, age 80, of Clarence, died Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at his home. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., on Thursday May 21, 2015, at Chapman Funeral Home, Clarence. A private family graveside service will be held on Friday May 22, 2015, at the Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Mt. Vernon, Iowa, with Reverend David Mears officiating. Victor E. Benyshek was born January 10, 1935, to Wesley and Mary (Kasha) Benyshek in Cuba, Kansas. He had worked for farmers or farm implement companies in his lifetime, including Bernard Campion, Petrick Implement in Mt. Vernon, Novak Implement in Lisbon, and retired at Allerton Implement in Allerton, Illinois. He started out an Allis Chalmers man, but retired an avid John Deere man. He had served in the National Guard, and enjoyed hunting coyotes and fishing. He is survived by three sons, Jeff Benyshek of Liberty, IL, Dan Benyshek of Lisbon, and Denny (Connie) Benyshek of Fairfax; three daughters, Barbara Wilcox of Cedar Rapids, Laurie (Chuck) Bails of Mt. Vernon, and Vicki Benyshek of Bloomington, IN; 12 grand-children, Michelle, Shannon, Aaron, Stephanie, Shelbie, Ryan, Travis, Eric, Jared, Vinny, Will and Wesly; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Marcella (Cletus) Klein of Oxford; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Douglas Benyshek, and one sister, JoAnn Brown. Chapman Funeral Homes
