The Bonham Daily Favorite, Bonham, Texas, Tuesday, 22 Jan 1985, Page 2 Homer David Havens Leonard - Funeral services for Homer David Havens were conducted by the Rev. Leonard Payne and the Rev. Charles Wrenn yesterday afternoon at the First Baptist Church here. Burial was in Leonard Cemetery. Mr. Havens, a World War II U.S. Marine Corps veteran, died Jan. 19 at the Sam Rayburn Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bonham. He was 69. Born at Leonard August 6, 1915, he was a son of Arlie Brake and Laura Lee Simmons Havens. He married Sybil Blevins May 16, 1970, at Sherman. In addition to his widow of the home in Leonard, he is survived by his mother, Laura Havens; one son, Bobby Jack Havens of Garland; one daughter, Kathy Hawkins of Leonard; two step-daughters, Ruby Hawkins of Tom Bean and Barbara England of Gainesville; two step-sons, Marvin Blevins of Detroit and Carl Ray Blevins of Dallas; two sisters, Hazel Blackshear of Maybank and Helen Hall of Garland; three brothers, Hershal Havens of Leonard, and Hal and Huland Havens, both of Dallas; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Taylor Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
