Bio
Howell Edward Havens, 91, a retired painter and partner of Howell and Aggie's on Samuels Boulevard in Dallas, died on Friday, October 7, 2011 in Grand Prairie. Howell was born on June 16, 1920 in Leonard, TX., one of nine children born to the late Arlie Brake Havens and the late Laura Lee Simmons Havens. He attended and graduated from school in Leonard before entering the US Army. He would serve for 3 years, including time during World War II. Howell and his late wife, Agnus, know as Aggie, would operate a small bistro in Dallas for many years. She would proceed him in death by 10 years. He is survived by a daughter, Hope Smith; 3 grandchildren; brother, Hulen Havens; step-children, Johnny Heine, Henrietta Holmes, Mike Heine, Viola "Vi" Lenzi and numerous step-grandchildren.
