Bio
Herald Coaster, October 6, 1958: Final rites were held Thursday afternoon from the Immanuel E&R Church, Needville, for Fritz W. Oberhoff. Mr. Oberhoff, a resident of Fort Bend County for fifty-two years had been in ill health for some time and passed away suddenly Tuesday afternoon at his home near Needville. He was 64 years of age. Mr. Oberhoff is survived by his wife, Mrs. Selma Oberhoff of Needville, eight sons, Ernest, Ervin, Henry Lee and Gilbert, all of Needville, Erich of Brenham, Albin of Houston, and Nelson of Rosenberg; twenty-five grandchildren; seven brothers, Charlie, Henry of Needville, William, Theo, Albert, Johnnie and Bennie of Rosenberg; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Schroeder and Mrs. Nona Eixmann of Needville. Pallbearers were Raymond Oberhoff, Kenneth E. Oberhoff, Raymond Tielke, Albin Tielke Jr., Larry Bremer, Lawrence Wieghat and Johnnie Tielke. Interment was held in the E&R Cemetery with Rev. Ed Weltge officiating under the direction of Garmany-Janca Funeral Home.
