Fort Bend Herald, December 7, 2005 Henry Lee Oberhoff was born July 3, 1926 in Needville, to Fritz Oberhoff and Selma Tielke Oberhoff, and passed away Monday, Dec. 5, 2005, in Richmond. He grew up on a farm in Snake Creek area in Needville, where they farmed cotton and corn. He attended Williams School in Needville. He retired after 35 years as a pipefitter at Dow Chemical. He married Lenora Meyer Oberhoff, Nov. 24, 1949. After living in Rosenberg, they made their home in Needville. They were blessed with six children. He loved dancing, fishing, camping, playing dominoes and cards. Friends and family could always count on him to repair whatever they needed. He loved to be with his family and his pet dog, Tiny. Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005 at Immanuel United Church of Christ, 9018 Church St. in Needville, with the Rev. Fred Banda officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation for friends will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2005 at the Garmany & Carden Funeral Chapel in Needville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fritz and Selma Oberhoff; brothers: Edwin Oberhoff, Ernst Oberhoff, Nelson Oberhoff, and Gilbert Oberhoff; brothers-in-law, Otto Meyer and Albert Meyer; sisters-in-law, LaVerne Oberhoff and Veleska Meyer. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lenora Oberhoff; children: Carol and Tommy Kaderka, Barbara Mazen, Sandy and Harold Brown, Charlotte Meuth, Bruce and Becky Oberhoff, and Connie and Robert Gorka; grandchildren: Vanessa and James Rodriguez, Tracey Kaderka, Brandon Kaderka, Kimberly and Brian Satsky, Daniel and Tanya Brown, Mary Brown, Kristi and Clint Cushman, Matt Meuth, Stacy Meuth, John and Holly Chapman, Jeff Chapman, Jessica Oberhoff, Bridget Gorka, Justin Gorka, and Samantha Gorka; great-grandchildren: Baylee Hale, Corbie Chapman, Peter, Brandon, Victoria, Ava Rodriguez, and Tyler and Taylor Brown. He is also survived by his brothers and their wives: Eric and Anita Oberhoff, Erwin and Evelyn Oberhoff, Albin and Ruby Lee Oberhoff; sisters-in-law: Eddie Ruth Oberhoff, Effie Oberhoff, Ann Oberhoff, Ester Oberhoff, Matilda Meyer, and Lillie Walters and husband, Ralph.
