Harold P. Meadows, age 89, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2009, at Northcrest Care Center in Council Bluffs. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 13, at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home in Council Bluffs. Funeral services will be 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 14, at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home in Council Bluffs. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, Persia, Iowa. Harold Porter Meadows was born November 27, 1919, in Walthill, Nebraska, the son of Arthur and Clara (Fries) Meadows. He married Betty Ann Hamann on August 2, 1943, in Plattsmouth, Nebraska. He was a long time member of Broadway Christian Church and Teamsters Union #554. He is survived by his wife, Betty of Council Bluffs; two sons, Harold (Nancy) Meadows of Omaha, NE, and Brian (fiancé, Debbie Buck) Meadows of Council Bluffs; one sister, Lois (Everett) Colton, Sr., of Council Bluffs; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
