Lois E. Colton, 91 years, of Counclil Bluffs, passed away January 29, 2007, at her home. Lois was born January, 15, 1916, in Dory Montana, to the late Arthur P. and Clara J. (Fries) Meadows, she has resided her most of her life. A house wife, she was a member of Broadway Christian Church. She and her husband, Everett L Colton, Sr. observed their 70th wedding anniversary on January 15, 2007. She was preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy Howell, Myrtle Shaw, Berniece Vondra, Betty Lenhardt; brother, Robert Meadows. Survivors besides her husband include daughters, France "Fran" Wright, Zephyr Hills, Florida, Kathleen Mindrup, Council Bluffs, Marilyn Reagan, husband Billy, Phoenix, Ariz.; sons, Everett L. Colton, Jr., wife, Josephine, Omaha, Neb., Douglas Colton, wife, Lita, Brookfield, Wis.; 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; brother, Harold Meadows, wife, Betty Ann, Council Bluffs; numerous neices and nephews. Visitation with the family will be Thursday 6 to 8 p.m. at Broadway Christian Church. Funeral services will be Friday 10:30 a.m. at the church, Rev. Jann Osborn, Pastor, will officiate, assisted by Chaplain Frank Fast. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Cemetery, followed by luncheon at the church.
