Bio
Though born in Dory, MT, she was raised and schooled in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She met her husband when they both worked for Bemis Bag Co. in Omaha. She was a very motherly person, and very generous to the poor, and very helpful to her children and grandchildren. She related beautifully to all of them. She was strong-willed, but always loving and generous. Her husband of 65 years was James T. Vondra, Sr., passed away in 2003 Children: Sandy (Mrs. Frank Pistone of Omaha, NE), Judy (Mrs. Lynn "Ole" Olson of Omaha), Patty (Mrs. Ed Nellor of Omaha), and James T. Vondra Jr of Texas. Her parents were Art and Clara Meadows. Her sisters Myrtle, Betty Jane and Dorothy predeceased her. She loved the color pink, and was buried in a beautiful pink dress she had worn in the Summer of 2001 at the observance of the 65th anniversary of her marriage to Jim. She died of cancer. She died in her own home at 5728 North 117th Circle, Omaha. There was an unusually large attendance at her funeral.
