Bio
Husband of Russie Lee [Mahone] White. Son of Leo Leafridge & Sally Dee "Sallie" [Dennis] White, both of Bowie County Texas, they are buried at the Center Ridge Cemetery in Maud Bowie Co TX. Charles had the following known siblings: Frances Laurie, Mary Eugenia, Edward Leo, Lola Inez, Nancy Joan, Lewis Gerald White. His grand parents on the White side were Thomas Monroe & Marthia Olivia [Harris] White, of Maud Texas, they are also buried at the Center Ridge Cemetery in this county. His Harris grand parents were John Calvin & his 2nd wife, Elizabeth A [Edsall] Harris, they arrived in Bowie County from Lee County Virginia about 1872. Both Grand fathers served in the Civil War. The White's arrived in Bowie County in 1846 from Union County South Carolina, settling first in Redwater.
