John E. Tomasovic, 82, of 525 S. 6th St., Emmaus, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of the late Josephine E. (Basko) Tomasovic.He was an automobile technician for the former C&G Buick, Emmaus, for 38 years before retiring in 1982. Previously he was a molder for the former Donaldson Iron Co., and former Aldridge Pump.He was Lehigh Valley Champion lightweight boxer in 1939 and 1940.Born in Emmaus, he was a son of the late Anthony and Amelia (Szomorovsky) Tomasovic.He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Emmaus.Survivors: Daughter, Leiana, wife of Alan Wilson of Coopersburg; brother, George in California; sisters, Pauline, wife of Joney Gill of Atlanta, Agnes, wife of William Yandle, Eleanor Rzonca, Frances, wife of Lavern Schaffer, and Elizabeth Iobst, all of Emmaus, Emily, wife of Robert Hofstetter of Coopersburg, and a grandson.Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Horace W. Schantz Funeral Home, 250 Main St., Emmaus; Mass at 11 a.m. in the church. Call 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday.
