Bio
Annie Marie Askins, age 77, of Decherd, Tenn. departed this life on Monday, January 30, 2012 at Southern Tennessee Medical Center in Winchester. She was of the Church of God faith. She was employed for many years as a seamstress at Franklin Apparel in Decherd before the factory closed. She loved fishing and hunting arrowheads before her health started to fail her. Mrs. Askins was preceded in death by a son, Gary Campbell and a grandson, Orval Campbell. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Askins of Decherd, Tenn., son, Gene (Frances) Campbell of Decherd, daughter, Ann Brown of Winchester, sisters; Geraldine (Robin) Gass, Wanda (Ben) Forrester all of Cowan and Ruby Bishop of Decherd, 2-step children, 6-grandchildren, 7 -great-grandchildren and 6-step-grandchildren. Services for Mrs. Askins will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Bro. Tim Brown, officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00-9:00 P.M. Wednesday evening. Interment will be in the Keith Springs Cemetery in Belvidere.
