FLAT ROCK - Shirley Ruth Dimos, 60, passed away Monday, Oct. 27, 2003. A native of Winchester, Tenn., she was a former resident of Trenton, Ga., where she and her husband, Nick, owned and operated Southland Restaurant, Southland Motel and Nick's Pawn Shop before retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Nancy Stephens, and sister, Alma Butner Fuller. Survivors include her devoted husband of 43 years, Nick Dimos; sons, Nick Dimos Jr., Trenton, Jimmy Dimos, Huntsville, Ala., and Tommy Dimos, Atlanta; daughters, Francis Lauder, Lawrenceville, Ga., and Helen Fleming, Cartersville, Ga.; five sisters, Geraldine Gass and Wanda Forester, both of Cowan, Tenn., Ruby Bishop and Marie Askins, both of Decherd, Tenn., and Betty Miller, Keith Springs Mountain, Tenn.; brother, Benny Stephens, Keith Springs, Mountain; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. EST today in the chapel with the Rev. Oscar Parton Jr. and the Rev. Buddy Bell officiating. Interment will follow in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.
