Death Notice - Hull Index - June 4, 1909, Page 5 After brooding over what he thought was a bad horse deal, and other imagined or real troubles, Dirk VanderKooi living between here and Middleburg, went to his barn about five o'clock Monday morning and ended his troubles by hanging himself to a rafter. He leaves a wife and five children to mourn his loss and a host of other relatives and friends. Sympathy is extened to the bereaved family and relatives.
