Bio
John McDaniel was the son of James and Zibiah McCarley McDaniel. He came to Utah, October 29, 1852, with the Isaac Stewart Company. He settled in Alpine in 1852. He married Christina Stoker, February 8, 1835, in Jackson County, Ohio and Sarah Buys, April 7, 1857, in Salt Lake City, Utah. His children with Christina Stoker were: Electra, Tabitha, John Riley, Matilda, Catherine, George Washington, James William, David Stoker, and Michael Sylvester. His children with Sarah Buys were: William H., Sarah, Christina, Elizabeth, John, Martha, Anderson, Alfred, Lucinda, Marinda, Moses DeVanna, Alvin, Zibiah, Oscar, Samuel Vasco, and Zibiah Rachel.
