Hudec married Albina Kubenka on November 10,1941. ____________________ Willie Hudec Funeral Services Held Dec.31 Willie (Bill) Hudec,90,of Weimar,died Dec.29,at Colorado-Fayette Medical Center in Weimar. A Parish and Knights of Columbus rosary was held Tuesday,Dec.30,at 6:30 p.m. Funeral services were held Wednesday,Dec.31,at St. Michael Catholic Church in Weimar with Rev.John Bily officiating. Scripture readings and a story of his life were read by Kara Kunschick. Mr.Hudec was born July 29,1913 in Weimar to Frank and Francis (Shumbera) Hudec. He attended Wildwood School and served in United States Army from April 15,1942 to Oct.23,1945.He spent two years overseas on Aleutions Islands and received a Bronze Service Star,and Asiatic Pacific Theater. He married Allina Kubenka on Oct.10,1941 in Weimar.He opened a business east of Weimar,which he owned and operated for 30 years.During this time he also worked for McCall Sanders,Happy Hen Egg,Cady's Transit Mix and Blue Ridge Salt Mines near Stafford. His last job was with Schindler Brothers Hurricane Fence Company.In 1967 he leased land in the Holman area and operated a gravel company designing and building his own equipment.He sold gravel to Colorado County Precinct No.2 and other buyers. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Veterans of Foreign Wars. After his retirement he enjoyed fishing,but his big love was music.He would get together with several friends and play polka music.He entertained his fellow residents while at Magnolia Place in Columbus. He was a quiet man and to himself,but as you can see he was way far from boring.He was always working on something,maybe several projects at one time.He collected old farm equipment and farm engines,the engines were displayed at many shows in the area. God has taken him into heaven to rest in peace.He will be missed. Pallbearers were James Purdy,Chris Hudec,Kyle Hudec,Toby Barlow,Dennis Kunschick,Keith Hudec,Robert Hudec and Jessica Hudec.
