The Oklahoman, Wed, Oct 5, 1983: Jimmy Ray Gardner, 53, born May 20, 1930 in Itasca, TX; died Oct 3, 1983 at a local hospital. He was co-owner of Paragon Dry Cleaners. Member of the India Shrine Temple and a 32nd Degree Mason, attended Northwest Baptist Church. Survived by his wife, Glynda, of the home; sons, Leonard F. Gardner, Ft Worth, TX; and Carl Dean Walker, OKC; grandchild, Alicia Walker; brothers, Bobbie Gardner, of Itasca; and Thomas Gardner, Dallas; sisters, Onita Handby of Italy, TX; Gaynell Seale of Itasca; Shirley Jennings of Houston; June Johnston, Euless, TX; mother, Belva Gardner of Itasca; numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be 3 pm Wednesday at Hahn-Cook, Street & Draper Chapel with interment in Rose Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
