August Shumbera son of Anton and Anna Shumbera.August Shumbera married Vlasta Kroboth on November 10,1920. note:August was born a twin Funeral for Aug. Shumbera Here Monday Funeral services for August Shumbera,76,lifelong resident of the Weimar area,were held Monday afternoon,April 26,at Hubbard Funeral Home,with Rev.Albert Hubertus officiating. Mr.Shumbera died Saturday,April 24,in the Veterans Administration Hospital at Houston,where he had been a patient two weeks.He had been ill about six weeks. Born Nov.27,1888,at Ammannsville,he was a son of Anton and Annie Tumis Shumbera.He married Miss Vlasta Kroboth here on Nov.10,1920,and they settled on a farm near Weimar where they have lived since. Mr.Shumbera was a member of the SPJST Lodge and the American Legion.He was in the Army in World War I,serving in France,and members of the local Legion Post acted as pallbearers for his fneral.They were Adolf Shumbera Jr.,Willie Hudec,Jerry Hudec,Harry Knebel Jr.,Rudy Jasek and Edwin Barta.
