Anton Shumbera married Anna Tumis. Children: Leopold Shumbera (small child) Adolph Shumbera (small child) Ludmilla/Lydia Shumbera Hanus Julius Shumbera ____________________ Mr.Anton Shumbera Dead Mr.Anton Shumbera,an aged and prominent farmer of this section,died Monday night of Bright's disease,after a long illness and the remains were committed to mother earth in the Masonic Cemetery west of town Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock,a large circle of mourning relatives and friends following the remains to their last resting place.Mr.Shumbera had lived in this section for many years,and was well and favorably known to all.He was highly regarded by all who knew him,and his death is sincerely deplored.Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to the bereaved family. Weimar Mercury,December 24,1920,p.1 The funeral took place at the Masonic Cemetery under the auspices of the following lodges,of which he was a member:S.P.J.S.T.,C.S.P.S.,and the Hermann Sons Lodge.Mr.Shumbera was an old-time settler of this community.He was born in Czecho-Slovakia in 1848,and came to this country about 1881 and settled near Ammannsville,then moved to this section,where he lived up to the time of his death.He was a good citizen and liked by all.
