RITES WEDNESDAY FOR FRANK KING Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 29, at 2 p.m. at the Perryman Chapel for Frank King, 71, who died Saturday at the Murphy Memorial Hospital. Rev. Asa Bopp of the First Baptist Church was the minister in charge. Music was by LaVerne Kerber, soloist and Mrs. Blanche Brayton, organist. Mrs. Earl McQuown, Jr., and Mrs. Gemmel Brown had charge of the flowers. ears were Earl McQuown, Earl McQuown Jr., Charles Vannausdle, Dewey Bishop, Arthur Ewing, and George Bass. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery, Red Oak, Iowa. Frank King, son of Wiliam J. and Alice Harbaugh King, was born in Montgomery County, December 13, 1881. He had lived all his life in this county and in Red Oak for the past 18 years. He was married in Council Bluffs, April 8, 1914, to Violet Hicks, who survives. Other survivors include two sons, Richard King of Iowa City and William King of Columbia Falls, Montana. There is one grandchild. Two brothers and two sisters survive also. They re Clifford King of Newberg, Oregon, Stanley King, Mrs. Alma Whipple, and Miss Elsie King, all of Red Oak. Mr. King had followed the carpenters trade during his lifetime.
