RITES ARE TUESDAY FOR STANLEY KING Funeral services for Stanley King, 78, 1107 Broadway, Red Oak, lifetime resident of Montgomery County, will be held Tuesday, August 20, at 2 p.m. at Nelson Chapel with Rev. Robert Chitwood of Griswold officiating and burial in Salem Cemetery. There will be Masonic rites at the graveside. Mr. King died Saturday, August 17, at Clarkson Hospital, Omaha, Nebraska, after an illness of four months. The son of Mr. and Mrs. William John (Alice Harbaugh) King, he was born January 12, 1890 in Montgomery County, Iowa and was married on October 21, 1920 to Mabel June Clay, who died in 1967. Mr. King was a retired owner operator of a service station. He was a member of United Presbyterian Church and Red Oak Lodge No. 162, AF & AM. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Catherine Scott of Underwood, Mrs. Marilyn Perdue of Griswold, and Mrs. Elsie Mellott, Elliott, 6 grandchildren, sister Elsie King, Red Oak.
