Victoria Advocate December 28, 2011 JACK DEMSEY TUCKER EDNA--Jack Demsey Tucker, 82, of Edna, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011 in Lake Jackson. He was born July, 14, 1929, to the late Cyrus and Ica Lena Purvis Tucker. He is survived by his daughter, Lydia Tucker Summers of Kerrville; son, Jack B. Tucker of Edna; sisters, Lena Mae Milleson of Port Lavaca, Mable Bobbitt of Markham, and Gladys McWhirter of Houston; brothers, Rodney Tucker of Blessing and William Clyde Tucker of Brookhaven, Miss.; 5 grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Joyce Standifer Tucker. Visitation will be held 5 - 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011 at Slavik Funeral Chapel. Graveside service will be held 12 p.m. on Thurday, Dec. 29, 2011 at Red Bluff Cemetery, with Rev. George Tompkins officiating. Salvik Funeral Home, 361-782-2152, Edna, 209 N. Father of Lydia Pearl and Jack Benjamin Tucker. Grandson of Charlie Tucker & Isabell Brown and Thomas Washington Purvis & Ellena Locklin.
