Son of Charlie Tucker and Isabelle Brown. Additional information courtesy of Find-A-Grave member Sarah Locklin Taylor. Funeral services for Cyrus Perry Tucker were held at 11 a. m. Friday, December 20, at the Palacios Funeral Home with the Rev. J. R. Gwin officiating. Interment was in Hawley Cemetery. A native of Oklahoma, he was born September 22, 1893 and passed away Wednesday, December 18, in Wagner General Hospital. A retired taxi operator, he had been a resident of Palacios since 1944. He is survived by his wife, Ica Tucker of Palacios; four daughters, Mabel Bobbitt of Palacios, Gladys McWhirter of Arcola, Texas; Lena Bosek, of Victoria and Ida Lee Tucker of Richmond; five sons, Theo Thomas of Hearne, Charles A. of Austin, Jack Dempsey of Edna, William C. of Brookhaven, Miss. and Rodney A. of Seabrook; 1 sister, two brothers, 23 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
