Bio

Theo Thomas Tucker, 74, of Hearne died Jan. 30 at St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan. Tucker was born March 31, 1921 in Francitas and has lived in Hearne for 22 years. He worked for several years as a construction worker. Funeral services will be Saturday, Feb. 3 at 10 a. m. at Heartfield Funeral Home in Hearne with Rev. Eddie Mayo of the Elliott Baptist Church officiating. Burial will take place at 4 p. m. in the Hawley Cemetery in Blessing. Visiting hours will be Friday from 10:30 a. m. to 9 p. m. and Saturday from 8 a. m. until the service begins. Survivors include two sons: Tommy Lee Tucker of Phoenix, Arizona and Thomas Charles Tucker of Goldwaite, two daughters, Margie Tucker Smith of Vidor and Goldie Fay Tucker of San Antonio; four brothers, Rodney Tucker of Blessing, Jack Tucker of Edna, William Tucker of Brookhaven, Mississippi and Charles Tucker of Goliad, and four sisters, Mable Tucker Bobbitt of Bay City, Gladys Tucker McWhirter of Rosharon, Lena Tucker of Georgia and Ina Lee Tucker. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The Daily Tribune , February 2, 1996
