Bio
Vlasta Knize, 86, passed away at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas on December 21, 2011. Vlasta was born in Ennis on June 12, 1925 to John and Rosie (Zajic) Kubin. She attended Central High School and graduated from Neilson Cosmotology School. She was married to Raymond Knize on October 7, 1947 in St. John Church of Ennis and they made their home in Ennis. She owned and operated her own Beauty Shop called Vlasta's Beauty Shop for over fifty-five years. She was a life long member of St. John Catholic Church and the KJZT #16 Society for over fifty-five years. She is survived by one daughter: Ramona and her husband, Steven Zaduk; three grandsons: Sam, Avery and Alec; one brother: Alvin Kubin; sisters: Wilma Kasper, Ardrie Honza, Adail Parma and Geraldine Nekuza; sisters-in- law: Toni Kubin and Etheline Knize along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymond Knize, brother, John Kubin and sister, Mildred Hubacek. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 22, 2011 from 6 until 8 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis. A Mass of the Christian Burial will take place on Friday, December 23, 2011 at 10 a.m. in the St. John Catholic Church of Ennis with interment to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E.
