Wilma E. Kasper, 93, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 23, 2015, in Ennis, Texas, after a long productive life. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, March 25, 2015, in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis with Rosary at 7 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 26, 2015, in the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis with Deacon Don Griffith as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Wilma was born in Ennis, Texas, to the late John F. and Rosie (Zajic) Kubin. She grew up in Ennis and attended school here. On January 12, 1942, she married Emil "E.W." Kasper and they made their home in Ennis. She worked for many years as a seamstress, retiring in 1980 as a supervisor for Donavan and Galvani. She had battled many major health issues and survived to help others with their health issues. She was an active person who loved life, independence continuing to drive until into her 90s. She was a member of the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, and a past member of the Altar Society. Her main joy was her family but she was an excellent cook and spent many hours enjoying working to make her yard just right. She was preceded in death by her husband, E.W. Kasper; infant daughter, Diane Kasper; brothers, John Kubin and Alvin Kubin; and sisters, Mildred Hubacek, and Vlaste Knize. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Young and husband, N.E. "Rod"; grandchildren, Bradley Young and Bryce Young; great-grandchildren, Rylie and Harlie; sisters: Ardrie Honza, Adail Parma, and Geraldine Nekuza; sisters-in-law, Toni Kubin and Geraldine Kubin; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
