CHILDRESS - Anna A. Atkinson, 97, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with Rob Hicks, minister of Fairview Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery. Mrs. Atkinson was a lifetime Childress community resident. She was a member of Fairview Church of Christ. Survivors include a son, Bob Atkinson Sr. of Lufkin; two sisters, Mabel Fisher of California and Dorothy Lively of Decauter; a brother, Mel Turentine of Grant Pass, Ore.; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Childress HealthCare Center, 1200 7th St. N.W., Childress, TX 79201. Amarillo Globe-News, Jan. 12, 2004
