PINE BLUFF COMMERCIAL - SEPTEMBER 16, 1997 STAR CITY--Dell Green, 80, of Star City, died September 14, 1997, at Gardner Nursing Home. She was born in Lincoln County on July 28, 1917, a daughter of the late Benjamin McGriff Sr. and Annie Monroe McGriff. She was a homemaker and a member of Lone Grove Baptist Church near Star City. Survivors include her husband, Calvin Green; a son, Earl Gene Green of Star City; two brothers, Oscar McGriff and Ernest McGriff, both of Star City; two sisters, Mattie Moore of Bastrop, Louisiana, and Laura Case of Star City; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Griffin Funeral Services of Star City with the Rev. Onas Gray officiating. Burial will be in Leek Cemetery near Star City. -------------------------
