SOURCE: The Fremont Tribune newspaper, Fremont, Dodge County, Nebraska, USA. Monday, November 25, 2002. Emilie G. Ranslem, 92, of Fremont died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2002, at Fremont Area Medical Center. Emilie Stuchlik was born Jan. 14, 1910, in Prague. She grew up in Saunders County and was a 1924 graduate of Wahoo High School. She attended Wayne State College and Midland Lutheran College. She taught school in Saunders County for five years. She lived in several Nebraska communities before moving to Fremont in 1947. She married Raymond C. Ranslem on June 26, 1935, in Paxton. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont and St. Joan of Arc Circle. Survivors include: her husband; a son, Robert Ranslem of Fremont; and a brother, Adolph D. (and wife, Lillian) Stuchlik of Norfolk. She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont, 3400 E. 16th St., with the Rev. Owen Korte officiating. Visitation will be noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont and continues one hour prior to service time Wednesday at the church. A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Fremont. A memorial has been established to the church.
