Stuchlik, 92, of West Point, formerly of Bonner Springs, Kan., will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Prague. He died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2001, at West Point Living Center in West Point. He was born April 30, 1908, on the family farm six miles west of Prague. He attended District 94 in Saunders County and Prague School before graduating from Plattsmouth High School in 1926. He graduated from Business College in Lincoln in 1928. He married Elsie A. Ayers July 9, 1945, in Kearney. In Lincoln and Kearney, he began his banking career. In 1947, they moved to Bonner Springs where he was executive vice president and cashier of the Commercial State Bank, retiring in 1977. He moved to West Point in June 1997. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and its St. Vincent de Paul Society and served as an officer in Rotary, all at Bonner Springs. He was a lifelong member of Catholic Workman, Branch 13 of Prague. Survivors include: a son, Albert W. (and wife, Carole J.) Stuchlik of Bonner Springs; a brother, Adolph (and wife, Lillianne) Stuchlik of Stanton; a sister, Emily (Mrs. Ray) Ranslem of Fremont and two granddaughters. He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. The Rev. Ronald Homes will officiate Saturday's service. A rosary will be said 7 p.m. Friday at the church with visitation prior also at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Stalp Funeral Home in West Point is in charge of arrangements.
