Raymond C. Ranslem, 99 years, of Fremont, NE died Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Creighton University Medical Center at Omaha, NE. He was born November 10, 1911 at Morse Bluff, NE to Leonard and Ella(Shanahan)Ranslem. He grew up at Morse Bluff. Raymond lived in several Nebraska communities until moving to Fremont in 1947. He was previously employed at Lyman Richie Sand & Gravel and later worked for Nebco of Lincoln, and managed Western Sand & Gravel Company at Fremont until retiring. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont. Raymond married Emilie G. Stuchlik on June 26, 1935 at Paxton, Nebraska. She died November 24, 2002. He is survived by his son, Robert "Bob" Ranslem of Fremont; sister, Marcella Bowman of Fremont; and 2 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; 1 sister, Mary Ellen "Sis" Jessen Yosten and 3 brothers, Earl, Richard & John. Funeral Mass, 10 AM, Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont. Father David Belt will officiate. Vigil Service will be held at 7:30 PM on Monday at Moser Memorial Chapel, Fremont. Visitation on Monday from 3 PM to 8 PM at the funeral home and on Tuesday at church 1 hr prior to service.
