Bio

Robert R. Ranslem, 78, of Fremont, Nebraska, passed away Nov. 12, 2021, at his home. Bob was born Sept. 29, 1943, in Wahoo, Nebraska, to Raymond and Emilie (Stuchlik) Ranslem. He was a 1961 graduate of Fremont Bergan High School and a member of one of the school's championship football teams. He was extremely proud of this and would later be inducted into their Athletic Hall of Fame. After high school, Robert spent time in Wyoming and Colorado as a salesman. He later settled back in the Fremont area for the remainder of his life, where he often joked about being an "outstanding youth of the community." Robert loved his cars, hunting, and drinking Budweiser. Bob was a longtime employee at Monke Brothers until his retirement. He is survived by his son, Matthew (Rachel) Brandenburg of Plattsmouth, Nebraska; 3 grandchildren, Julie, Wesley, and Hannah. Bob was preceded in death by his parents.
