Bio
Robert Elmer Alexander, 62, Colony Drive, Somerset, died suddenly on Tuesday, October 22, 1991 at Humana Hospital Lake Cumberland. He was born in Somerset on March 18, 1929, son of the late John E. and Louise Phelps Alexander. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, an employee of H.T. Hackney Company for 40 years, a member of Kentucky National Guard, and a member of East Somerset Baptist Church. His wife, Lillian Godsey Alexander, whom he married May 12, 1951 in Rossville, Georgia, survives. Other survivors include four brothers, Arlie, Oather, and John D. Alexander, all of Somerset, and Rev. Roy Alexander, Science Hill. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Harold and Orville Alexander; and a sister, Mildred Alexander. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at East Somerset Baptist Church with the Revs. Robert Branch and Ewell Hargis officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens with military services by American Legion Post No. 38. Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at Pulaski Funeral Home.
