Bio

Born in rural northern Missouri to William W. and Margaret Horn Owens, one of three daughters. She married Riley Eakins April 7, 1909 at Macon, Missouri. She was a member of the Nazarene Church. She bore one daughter Nona Pearl Eakins Walker, and two sons, Harry Glen and William Paul. She lived most of her life as a farmers wife in rural northern Davis County, moving to Ottumwa in 1968 at the illness of her husband. She is preceded in death by one sister, her daughter, and her husband.
