Son of James Patek and Barbara Vackar Obituary Gonzales Inquirer Oct. 4, 1962 Bill Patek Fatally Injured William Patek, 69, of 1004 Mitchell Street, died at 5:45 p.m. Friday from injuries suffered in a mid afternoon accident at his home. Patek was severely cut and mangled by a 66 Mohawk rotary while mowing weeds in a pasture at the back of his home yesterday at about 2:30 p.m. Funeral services are scheduled at 3 p.m. Sunday from the Seydler Funeral Home, with Rev. John Newton of Victoria officiating at tje last rites. Interment will be at Odd Fellows cemetery. Mr. Patek was born March 22, 1893 in Lavaca county to James Patek and Barbara Vackar. He was married to the former Margaret Blake who preceded him in death September 22, 1928. Survivors include: two sons, James W. (Billy) Patek of Beaumont, and Charles W. Patek of Hallettsville; two brothers, Raymond Patek of Victoria and James Patek Jr. of Beaumont; four sisters, Miss Lillian Patek of Gonzales, Mrs. H. W, Scott of Corpus Christi, Mrs. M. Boothe of Pleasanton, Cal., and Mrs. Jack McCabe of Victoria, and three grandchildren.
