Herald Coaster Rosenberg, TX January 17, 1963 Hafer, Louis W. Louis W. Hafer, 76, died in Polly Ryon Hospital Saturday morning after an extended illness. A farmer most of his life, he had been a resident of Rosenberg for the past 14 years. He moved to Fort Bend County in 1909 and married the former Minnie Henricksen in 1911. Funeral services were held Monday, Jan, 14 at 2 pm at the United Church of Christ in Rosenberg with Rev. Donald Kolkmeier officiating. Survivors are his wife; four sons, Alvin of Richmond, Clarence and Olin of Rosenberg and Alton of Hebbronville; one brother, Fritz Hafer of Beasley; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Henrichsen of Brenham and Mrs. Caroline Schrader of Waco; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Emma, and a son, Willie. Pallbearers were Marvin Henrichsen, Jarvis Rosenbaum, Alfred Hafer, Henry Elmore, Ivan Lee Richter and Harold Graf. Burial was in the Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Garmany and Company of Rosenberg.
