BENJAMIN S. BEACH Funeral services for Benjamin Sidney Beach, late of Los Angeles, Calif., were held at the Florence mortuary chapel at 4:30 Saturday afternoon, Sept. 28, with the Rev. C. Edward Whitenett officiating. Mrs. Nelson Moorhead played appropriate organ selections for the service. Mr. Beach was born at Coal Creek March 10, 1891, and died at Flagstaff, Ariz., Monday, Sept. 23. His death at the age of 66 was sudden. He had been to Florence for Pioneer Day and was enroute home when he became ill. He had been an electrician for the CF&I corporation and the Santa Fe railroad. Fremont county had been his home until he moved to California 12 years ago. He favored the Methodist church. On Oct. 10, 1911, he married Ethel Sikes. Surviving are the following children: Dr. Norman Beach, Grand Junction; Norris Beach, Los Angeles, Calif.; Melvin Beach, who is with the armed forces; Mrs. Lorraine Miller of Palmdale, Calif., and Mrs. Ethel Mae Echman of Hawthorne, Calif. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Eunice Evans, Flagstaff, Ariz., and Mrs. Cathryn Hansen, Los Angeles; one brother, Allen Beach of Florence, and a number of nieces and nephews. Pall bearers were William Arnoldi, Victor Arnoldi, Dave Beach, Charles Beadles, Fred Beach and Pete Cervanyk. Burial was in the family plot in Union Highland cemetery under the direction of the Florence Mortuary.
