Bio

Gladys L. Harrell Miller, 87, of Lowell, Ind., and formerly of Jacksonville, went to be with the Lord Friday, Oct. 14, 2011. She was born Aug. 17, 1924, the daughter of John Sr. and Jennie Maude Carter Harrell. She married Alvin Louie Miller on Aug. 13, 1944, and he preceded her in death in 1994. She is survived by her sons, Terry (Joy) Miller of Lowell, Ind., Glenn (Deb) Miller of Cedar Lake, Ind., and Kirk Miller of Nashville, Tenn.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Louise Tribble and Minnie Frye, both of Jacksonville. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Steve Miller; nine brothers, Howard, William, Owen, Hearold, Clyde, Rollie, John Jr., Chalmer and Eugene; and six sisters, Esther Cox, Goldie Chaney, Fae Stubblefield, Kay Hart, Marie Bohler and Gloria Wallace. Services were entrusted to Buchanan and Cody Funeral Home of Jacksonville, Illinois.
