Bio
Jessie Ellen Tomlison , 89 years of age, departed this life on October 23rd, 2011. Jessiewas born in Somerset, Kentucky on March 10th, 1922, daughter of the late George Riley Tomlinson and Mary Matilda Alexander Tomlinson. She was the owner of Kentucky Oil and a member of the First Baptist Church of Lehigh Acres, Florida. Jessie was survived by one son, Dale (and Carol) Tomlinson of Somerset, Kentucky; one daughter, Mary Lou (and Larry) Clark of Noblesville, Indiana; six grandchildren, Tammy Stanley, Chris Tomlinson, Matt Tomlinson, Kimberly Bannester, Kathy Moore, and Missy Clark; six great grandchildren, Sidney Griffey, Samantha Moore, Dalton Stanley, Alexis Stanley, Grace Tomlinson, and Grant Tomlinson; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary Tomlison; her husband, Vester Hardin Tomlison; two brothers, Oscar Tomlinson and William Tomlinson; four sisters, Emma Tomlinson, Martha Rachel Hughes, Myrtle Richardson, and Dorothy Tomlinson. Visitations were held on Tuesday, October 25th, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Pulaski Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, October 26th, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Clay Hill Cemetery in Pulaski County, Kentucky. THIS IS A TRIBUTE IN MEMORY OF JESSIE, I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one. I'd like to leave an after glow of smiles when life is done. I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
