Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2005 at McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Bethany. Friends may call from 9:00am until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Marrowbone Twp Cemetery, Bethany. The family suggests Memorials to the First Christian Church, Bethany or DMH Hospice, Decatur. Helen was born on April 17, 1909, in rural Bethany, the daughter of William S and Dessie Mayfield Clark. Helen graduated from Bethany High School, attended Sparks Business College and later graduated as a LPN from Decatur School of Practical Nursing. She was a member of the Bethany Christian Church. She belonged to Moultrie County Home Extension, Moultrie County RSVP. She was a past member of Royal Neighbors of America, Rebekah Lodge in Bethany. She married William A. Baird of Sandwich May 29, 1965 in Bethany and he preceded her in death on January 6, 1984. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers; Troy, Glen, Archie, Ivan & Marvin, sisters; Ruby & Hazel.
