From the Herald & Review, April 30, 2003, Decatur, Illinois RAMSEY - Marvin S. Clark, 75, of Ramsey died 3:15 p.m. Monday (April 28, 2003) in St. Vincent Memorial Hospital, Taylorville. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Bethany. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Marrowbone Township Cemetery, Bethany, with military rites. Memorials: American Lung Association or American Heart Association. Marvin was born on Sept. 18, 1927, in Bethany, the son of William S. and Dessie Mayfield Clark. He was a World War II Navy Seaman with a Victory Medal. He was a retired farmer and carpenter. He was a member of American Cattleman's Association. He married Pauline Arterburn on March 1, 1968, in Bethany. Surviving are his wife; sons, Doug Mentzer of Ramsey; Roger W. Mentzer of Sandoval; daughters, Linda Sue Parks (Dennis) of Shelbyville; Teresa D. Dial (John); Mary Lou Dial (David), both of Brownstown; Paula A. Cole of Ramsey; brothers, Wayne Clark (Eileen) of Decatur; Ivan Clark (Norma) of Bethany; sisters, Helen Baird of Sullivan; Ruth Craig (Russ) of Sullivan; Ardith Capshaw (Koran) of Decatur; sister-in-law, Doris Clark; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; two sisters.
