SULLIVAN -- Ruth A. Craig, 92, Sullivan, died Friday (Jan. 30, 2015). Arrangements incomplete: McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Sullivan. ----------------- SULLIVAN -- Ruth A. Craig, 92, of Sullivan passed away 5:46 a.m. Friday, January 30, 2015 at the Arthur Home, Arthur. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 7, 2015 at McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Sullivan. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Marrowbone Township Cemetery, Bethany. Memorials may be made to the University of Illinois Center of Wounded Veterans and Higher Education; 1206 S. 4th Street, Champaign, IL 61820, the First Christian Church of Bethany, or to the Sullivan Ambulance Service. Ruth was born July 22, 1922 in Bethany, the daughter of William S. and Dessie (Mayfield) Clark. She married Russell O. Craig February 14, 1942 in Rossville, GA; he preceded her in death August 15, 2004. She was a farm wife and enjoyed making quilts. Her first quilt she made was during World War II which was a patriotic Red White and Blue quilt. If she wasn’t quilting she was crocheting. She is survived by her sons, Phillip C. (Cheryl) Craig of Missouri and David E. (Chris) Craig of Missouri; daughter-in-law, Victoria Craig; sister, Ardith H. Capshaw; sister-in-law, Pauline Clark; grandchildren, Laura (Bryon) Saathoff, John (Annette) Craig, Alexa Thompson, Emily (Brad) Combs, Andrea (J.J.) Schmidt, and Ryan E. Craig; step-granddaughters, Kelly Davis and Samantha Isaacs. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, three step-great grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, Gary O. and Dennis R., six brothers and three sisters. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.mcmullinyoung.com
