Bio

Tressie married Samuel C. COLE in 1903. They had seven children: Alfred D, James B, Elba, Nina V, Bera, Lionel Armand & J. Leon COLE. OBITUARY: The Caldwell Watchman-Progress, Feb 1, 1962 Headline: Mrs. Tressie Cole Died Recently in Alex. Hospital Mrs. Tressie Cole, 79, died in an Alexandria hospital Saturday morning following an illness of about three months. Funeral services was held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Palestine Baptist Church with the Rev. Dale Starks and the Rev. Clarence Mounce officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Elba Morris, Shreveport; Mrs. Nina Gallicio, and Mrs. Bera Fox, both of Alexandria; two sons, A. D. Cole and Leon Cole, both of Columbia; 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
