************************************************************ FRANK DOSTAL, SR., passed away at his home in Manly, Iowa Saturday May 9, 1925, from complications of old age. Mr. Dostal was born in Zamberg, Bohemia November 30, 1838 to John Jan Nepomucky & Tereza (Kvapilova) Dostal, and immigrated to the USA 70 years ago. In 1864 he was united in marriage to Josephine A. Pribyl. To this union four children were born: Mary Dostal, Frank Dostal Jr., Leopold J Dostal of Jackson and Mrs. J. A. Vacek of Jackson, Minnesota Mr. & Mrs. Dostal moved to their farm northwest of manly many years ago and continued their residence on the farm until about three years ago when they moved into manly on account of ill health. He was preceded in death by a brother John of St. Paul who died April 28, 1925. Mr. Frank Dostal was the eldest of a large family of children and would have been 88 years old had he lived to December 17. Besides the wife and companion of many years, and the four children, there are left to mourn his two sisters; Mrs. Chas. Anders and Mrs. Joseph (Anna) Triska, both of Spillville and three brothers: Joseph of Plattsmouth, Nebraska; Anton of Kingston, Washington and Leo of St. Paul, Minnesota. The funeral services were held at the Sacred Heart Church Monday, May 11, 1925 with Father Ehl in charge. Burial in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. ***********************************************************
