Bio

************************************************************ MARY B. DOSTAL 82, an old settler here in Manly, passed away suddenly at her home Saturday evening June 10, 1950 following a heart attack. Rosary was read at the Bride Funeral Home at 8 p.m. Monday evening. Funeral services were held at the Sacred Heart Church on Tuesday June 13, with high mass at 9:30 a.m., the Rev. Leo E. Derga officiating. Miss Dostal was the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Frank (Josephine Pribyl) Dostal; who farmed for many years, on a farm northeast of Manly. The family moved to town 21 years ago, and after the death of her parents in 1925 & 1928; Miss Dostal and her brother Frank have maintained the home. Miss Dostal never married. Survivors include: her brother Frank and sister Mrs. Theresa Vacak of Jackson, Minnesota. Among the relatives from out of town that came to attend the funeral were: Joe and Clement Vacek, Mr. & Mrs. Louis Dostal, Mr. & Mrs. Bednacek all from Jackson, Minnesota; Adolf Vacek, Montevideo, Minnesota; Mr. & Mrs. Rudy Flatten, St. Paul; Mrs. Leonard Hiajsman, and Dietrich Poshusta, both of Mason City. Pall bearers were John Bellman, Art Roberts, Art Hovel, William Goud, Ed Barta, and John Huezel. Interment was at Sacred Heart Cemetery. ************************************************************
