SULLIVAN - Earl R. West: Newspaper Obituary and Death Notice Herald & Review (Decatur, IL) - November 23, 2003 Deceased Name: SULLIVAN - Earl R. West SULLIVAN - Earl R. West, 88, of Sullivan died 4:15 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 22, 2003) in St. Mary's Hospital. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday in McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Sullivan. Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Marrowbone Township Cemetery, Bethany. Memorials: donor's choice. Mr. West was born May 8, 1915, in Bethany, the son of Floyd and Edith May Wheeler West. He was a retired building contractor and member of AMBUCS. He remodeled the Senior Citizens Building in Sullivan. He married Ella Mae Adams on Dec. 23, 1939, in St. Charles, Mo. Surviving are his wife; sons, Don and Harold West, both of Sullivan; daughter, Mary Becker of Tower Hill; twin sister, Mearle Murphy of Sullivan; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant son, one daughter, three brothers and one sister.
