Mrs. Floyd (Edith M.) West, 88, of Sullivan, died 2:25 a.m. Wednesday in East View Manor Nursing Home, Sullivan. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in the McMullin Funeral Home, Sullivan, where friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery, Bethany. Mrs. West was born in Moultrie County, a daughter of James A. and Martha Mitchell Wheeler. She married Floyd West, Feb. 17, 1904. He died Feb. 17, 1943. She was a member of the First Church of God, Sullivan. Surviving are sons, Paull, "Ike" of Danville: Walter of Bethany; Raymond of Dallas, Tex.; Earl of Sullivan;. daughters, Mrs. Mearl Scott of Sullivan; Mrs. Noble Lolus Bruce of Urbana; brother, Otis E. Wheeler of Bethany; 17 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Three brothers and two sisters preceded in death.
