MRS. C. F. O'BRIEN OF AURORA, DIES Aurora, Neb., Jan. 22 (Special)--Funeral services for Mrs. Clarence O'Brien, 44, were held Tuesday afternoon from the United Brethren church with Rev. Paul Porter officiating. She dies Saturday at a local hospital following an extended illness. Albertena Peters was born at Pleasanton, Neb., on March 28, 1896, the daughter of Fredrick and Josephine Janitscheck Peters. She later moved with her family to Omaha where her mother died in 1905. In 1910 she came to Aurora to make her home. On March 19, 1914 she was married to Clarence O'Brien. Nine children were born to them, four dying in infancy. Besides her husband and five sons George, Robert, John, Clarence Jr. and Gerold, she leaves one sister Mrs. Emma DeFord, Ogallala, Neb., and one brother, William C. Peters of Albion, Neb., and three half brothers and three half sisters. Interment was in the Aurora cemetery. Grand Island Independent, Wednesday, January 22, 1941, page 3
