Bio

George Eugene O'Brien, the son of Clarence F. and Albertena (Peters) O'Brien, was born at Aurora, Nebraska, on January 7, 1918, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on December 16, 1985, at the age of 67 years, 11 months and 9 days. George grew up in Aurora and attended Aurora Public Schools. Following his schooling he worked with his father as a carpenter until his father passed away in 1956. George then worked for Sack Lumber retiring four years ago. George was united in marriage to Bethel Dunham in December of 1948. She passed away in 1969. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 4 brothers, Clarence Jr. and Gerald and two in infancy; 2 sisters, Evelyn and June in infancy. Those who remain to cherish his memory are his son, George Jr. of Grand Island; brothers, Bob and Jack (John) O'Brien both of Aurora and two grandchildren. Graveside Services were held 2:00 P.M., Thursday, December 19, 1985 at the Aurora Cemetery.
