Bio
Delbert Lawton Sigmon was born in Lincoln County, Neb., on April 26, 1907, to Ward J. and Bessie (Stull) Sigmon. On March 18, 1933 he was united in marriage to Agnes Higgins and to this marriage five children, Edward, Richard, Janice and Genette and an infant son, were born. Preceding Delbert in death were his parents; sons, Edward and the baby son; and grandson, Brad Sigmon; brothers Cecil and Harry; and sisters, Marie, Vera and Edith. Surviving him is his wife of 57 years, Agnes; son, Richard and wife Iona and family of Yuma; twin daughters, Janice Robinson and family of Woodland Park and Genette Smily and family of Ogden, Utah; 11 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sister, Opal; three brothers, Victor, George and Eldredge; nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at the Yuma Church of the Nazarene Monday, September 25, 1989 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Jim Means officiating. Interment was made in the Yuma Cemetery with arrangements by Morris-Spellman-Baucke Mortuary.--Yuma Pioneer, Thursday, Sept. 28, 1989, Pg. 8
